Synth Library, Leicester, is the data controller for the personal data collected through this site. You can contact us about your data at bookings@synthlibrary.uk.

• Newsletteryour email, and the date you subscribed. Purpose: sending you the newsletter. Basis: your consent, the box you ticked. Confirmed by the link we email you.
• Membershipyour name, email, phone, date of birth, what you want to make, and later a photo ID check and signed agreement at first handover. Purpose: running your membership and loans. Basis: the membership agreement.
• Loanswhat you borrowed, when, condition notes, and the deposit. Basis: the loan agreement.
• Repair enquiriesyour name, email, phone if given, and what you told us about the instrument. Purpose: answering your enquiry. Basis: your request.
• Bot checkpublic forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes your IP address and browser signals to tell people from bots.

Your data is held on servers in the UK and the EU. Email delivery is handled by Resend and Migadu. Inside Synth Library, only the librarian sees your record. We do not share, sell or rent your data for advertising or marketing.

Newsletter: for as long as you stay subscribed; unsubscribing stops sending immediately. Membership and loan records: for the life of your membership and 24 months after it ends. Repair enquiries: 24 months.

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or withdraw consent. Email bookings@synthlibrary.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Material changes are emailed to subscribers and dated at the top of this page.
